While nothing super special, I did still quite enjoy this. Again, another kinda midly received action film that is better than John Wick Chapter 4 (also a better use of Scott Adkins and Marko Zaror.) The pacing is tight, the lead performance by Dave Bautista is pretty good, the action is well done, the film is violent AF, the central romance is sweet and overall it mainly ticks all the boxes of these kinds of films. I will say that…

I liked it and I can kinda get why it would resonate with a lot of people, but it doesn't stick with me in the same way films like Rampage, Falling Down and American Psycho do. 100% I can praise the acting from Norton, Pitt and Carter, the very stylish direction and editing and the commentary on materialism, but it just feels like it is missing something for me because I wasn't completely drawn in. Again, I did enjoy it, I'm just having a hard time realizing what I think is missing. I give the film a 4/5 stars.

This is the most important film to see this year in theaters. Jim Caviezel was fantastic as Tim Ballard. He really nails this role and makes the character feel like a real person, because he is. He also gets quite a few badass moments. Bill Camp was great as Vampiro, a man whom helps Ballard to create his sting operation. He was so nice to see here and his performance was very nice. The original musical score from Javier Navarette…

So, what did I think of The Punisher?
This is my favorite comic book film and for damn good reason. Thomas Jane was fantastic as Frank Castle, an ex cop whose family is murdered by Howard Saint's men. He played the role to perfection and really made me care about what happened to him. John Travolta was great as Howard Saint, a mob boss. He plays the role well and comes across very imposing. The action was very well done…
