the cinematography is probably the highlight here. the near-exclusive use of narrow depth of field is incredibly suffocating; deepening the depth just to put more antagonistic figures in focus makes it even more suffocating, since you're unwillingly sharing that space with someone. only at the end does it ease off with an encompassing wide shot.
