With 'Men's Alex Garland tries making a movie about the victim of toxic masculinity but the film is a lame failure.

The protagonist is a woman who is a victim of an abusive relationship, however rather than being empathetic or empowering she is depicted as entirely weak and helpless.
She is totally passive as a variety of characters prey upon her subjection her to various psychological, sexual and physical torment.

The movie also thinks its far more intelligent than it…

More dips than 'Get Out but 'Us' is still a sharp, smartly executed horror/comedy. 'Us' is far more ambiguous than 'Get Out' and by tje end of the film not every element of the film is played o it and neatly explained to us. The social message behind the film is ambivalent and very open to interpretation, which I found frustrating. The setup and execution of the film is brilliantly sinister and evocative with the underground sequence being a partucular highlight

Clara Bow's magnetic screen presence was so undeniable and unidentifiable that an entire film was centered around 'It'

A fun little romp, Bow definitely had 'It' in a way few stars have managed to ever emulate.

While enjoyable there are sexist overtones scattered throughout the film that make viewing occasionally uncomfortable.
