an absolutely all encompassing sense of dread. every choice in made in this movie feels like it was specifically crafted for me. the aesthetic from the set design to the costumes to the way it was shot give it such a warm feeling held in stark contrast to the cold harsh performances. the soundtrack and sound design buries its way deep inside of you until you catch yourself holding your breath. the points of the mystery laid out in a way that keeps you guessing and second guessing yourself even though you know it to be true.
this film was absolutely made for me specifically.
