  We have this failed experiment to thank for making the sequels more interesting. Of course it's a bad film but lest we forget:

  - It was absolutely riddled with production issues.
  - A lot of the action is genuinely good... interesting at the very least.
  - Long haired Tom Cruise smouldering in slow motion makes me tingle.
  - Classic John Woo gunplay rocks my socks.
  - Some great mask reveals with Zimmer giving us those Gladiator B-sides.

  Three stars from the teenage me who fucking loved this shit film.
