Love films that have as much to say about their genre as they do about generalized experiences: relationships, workplace strife, faith, historical commentary (I felt a WW2 comparison in ending conflict through catastrophe but idk).
And I laughed a few times! Expert casting! Performances ruled! A favorite in the niche spy-ish class — high bar for 2025 releases.

Overwrought and somehow without a theme. R Patt is great, sure, but doing something different than everyone else. Ruffalo was … acting, I guess? Voiceovers clearly added later, haphazardly? Then they drop halfway? Weird drug subplot adds no value?
Ecological destruction bad? Exploitation of working class? uhhh imperialism? How about, you know, megachurches are destructive? Authoritarianism? multiple selves coexisting?!!?
