Mickey 17 2025
wow, what a film.
had no idea it was based on a book, (mickey7) but joon-ho excels with chaos in a film, and every lawless second of this film held my attention. I’m itching to watch it again, and again.
I also desperately want a red “17” chest tattoo now, as a memento.

It honestly took me a minute to get adjusted to the way this film is shot, and I feel like it was a little jarring at times. But wow is this film pretty to look at.
But wow did the last like 20 minutes send me into a spiral; sincerely hope this one wins best picture.

So this is definitely more of an art project rather than an actual film. I could not sit through this film, and will probably never finish it. To me, it feels like it openly objectifies women.
