God magic realism is the best, it’s such an underrated genre. Really loving the Grease-style ending.
I really wanted like this movie. The acting was good, other than Gal Gadot (as expected)
But the plot? Pedro Pascal ate a rock that let him grant wishes? Kristen Wigg is now somehow an evil were-cheetah? It was all crazy & silly enough for it to be something I normally would enjoy a lot, but the shoehorned DC-verse and talentless Gadot really made the film suffer.
the animation was the best part of the film, i loved all the different textures and how they got to play in the slapstick comedy with imaginary physics. id probably give it a whole star down if it wasnt for how much I liked the animation.
I had heard absolutely nothing about this film going into it, which is not usually a good sign, but I think people were expecting a clumsy race-relation metaphor, like was expressed in Zootopia, but…
why is chris evans like mike myers?
theyve both played characters who talk about having eaten babies
(snowpiercer & fat bastard)
