Stunning imagery throughout; the framing constantly had me in awe. The spot lighting!! The focus during the final castle sequence!! Unbelievable craft on display here. Made me want to watch a bunch of Kurosawa, too... I just want to live in a land of indelible images

Whew, I like this less and less the further I get from the spectacle. The sound editing is fantastic and the score is sometimes frankly bizarre and unsettling in a way that I really enjoyed. But it's all in service of the weirdest half-swings or even non-swings at a bunch of different themes and messages that never hang together
