Snow White and the Huntsman 2012
The story is just kinda bland. Stewart and Hemsworth don’t add any charisma to it. Charlize Theron is the best part by far. She eats up all her scenery. I do like a lot of the aesthetic choices. The magic mirror is pretty cool. I don’t feel that the dwarfs really add much to the story. I also don’t really have much investment in the general political conflict. There are a couple elements of good stuff in there but it all doesn’t really come together in an interesting or entertaining way.

Borderlands 2024
Not the worst thing ever. But certainly not very good. Best part about it is the production design. The world of the story is so fun looking. The actors do their best but the characters and dialogue are so blandly written. The games have such a stylized look it’s a shame that this film doesn’t capture the same visual energy. Very basic story that isn’t as wild and fun as it wants to be.
