Shaun of the Dead 2004
Edgar Wright at his finest. This still holds up 20 years later (my God), hits all the comedic and emotional notes perfectly. Also I can't believe how young he was when he made this. You can tell he used to really care for his projects when he first started out. This movie proves he's lost a bit of soul in his work as of late. I don't know if he'll ever return to this level of greatness.

In general, I really like this film. It does the whole "subversion of expectations" thing really well, which is difficult to achieve, especially in this genre. I was really unsure of what to expect after the first act, and that made it very fun. The jumpscares were alright, and the performances were solid, especially those of Georgina Campbell and Justin Long. Another Korean drama/thriller about the rich exploiting the poor. I got my fill with Parasite. And being only an 8th of the length of this garbage show, it somehow managed to be more nuanced.
