Lots of layers. Like a book. Came away unsure about my emotions towards characters and things. I like that.

Sometimes I thought it was a comedy. Especially Guy Pearce's performance.

The more I think about it the more I like it.

Absolutely proposteriously bad. Directorial vision: Lads love Rome and lads love fighting. ENDS.
I'm going to go as far as to say that I, in fact, hate Ridley Scott

Raised it two stars because I love Rome

I didn't realise this but I love Ewan McGregor? I love everything he is in. This is the quintessential Ewan picture.

Anyway that was the hook but the style and writing made me stay.

The show is based on a book, written only in the last few years which I really don't like. And by an American.

I smiled a lot and got teary eyed from time to time. I watched the whole thing very fast.

High recommendation for lovers of Ewen McGregor.

I think this is one of my favourite films. I like it because of how styilised it is but it's not too styilised. Movies should be magical, not gritty. Too much grit in the world.

You could watch this movie over and over and find new elements to it. The Director/writer is a Harvard graduate so he did lots of thinking about this as you can imagine.

I feel like this movie could be different things to different people but…
