  Saw this performed with an original score by the pianist, which was awesome. The movie itself stretches a simple premise out way too long, and it’s light on action compared to some of the Chaplin films I’ve seen (which might not be a totally fair comparison, but still).

  Saw with Raquel —there was a live piano performer there, playing the score by Satie, which was a unique experience. The film itself is experimental, maybe a little hard to appreciate nowadays, but not too long.

To demonstrate the Pythagorean Theorem one needs only a few sketches, but to prove that some weird alchemical theory is true, one must provide all manner of elaborate diagrams and illustrations.”

  Less a coherent biography or overview of the life and significance of Eco’s work, and more an impressionistic portait of his library and taste.
