Anora 2024
I loveeeeed Anora. I love that at no point it feels like we’re supposed to judge Ani’s sex work career. She’s empowered and not a victim in her job. I also loved that this movie was advertised to me as a romance movie and I was very happily surprised at the actual course of events in this film. It was so much funnier than I thought it was gonna be. Then it stops being funny at the end but in a way that felt like good pay off as an audience who’s gone on the journey with Ani. Looking for my Igor.
