Iron Man 2008
At this point I’d still consider this my favorite MCU film. Though the first, it really benefits from having no expanded universe of films and shows to tie itself into. While setting the stage for the what we know “Marvel movies” to be today, it really shows off a style of its own which they’ve repeatedly tried to recapture in the last 10 years. And it’s a breath of fresh air to look back on now because of it.

A Quiet Place 2018
Like most scary movies, there are moments throughout meant to make the audience scream. But in spite if it all, mine was trying to stay as silent as possible.
Maybe we thought this would somehow spare these characters a terrible fate. Or maybe the film convinced us such an action would only lead to the same befalling us.
With that level of engagement, how can I say this movie did anything but accomplish exactly what it was trying to. I really can’t think of anything which would have made it better.Translated from by -
La La Land 2016
I just fell off the wagon after 7 months of being clean. This film is a drug and I craved a hit of it. But alas I did not nor have I ever been able to recapture that first high.
