A move Oh-So Eighties that it gave me a headache.

Basically it's a 90-minute giallo/sci-fi flavored music video with copious amounts of nudity. Much of it is very stylishly lensed. The ladies look pretty dang hot.

But the script & dialog stink to high heaven.

    Nightmare

    ★★½

One of the lesser suspense thrillers Jimmy Sangster wrote for Hammer. It's well shot and nicely acted, with a couple of solidly creepy moments, but the central gaslighting mystery just isn't all that compelling.

"Well, if you think the Klan's just a fistful of rednecks, you got your facts twisted."

The God-fearin' white folks of Atoka County, Alabama are just itchin' for a lynchin' in this racially charged exploitation flick — the kind that'd typically be a regionally made indie, super-low budget 2nd biller on a drive-in double feature. THE KLANSMAN, though, boasts A-List stars, a roster of notable character actors, was co-written by Samuel Fuller and directed by Terence Young, the man who…
