Robert Eggers continues to have my sword.

Every time a pretty dress came on screen I was in awe of the detail. When Ellen was sitting and looking in the mirror in all her underpinnings and it showed that she was wearing sleeve supports!!!!! The coat game is extremely on point as well for everyone in this movie.

Just everything about it was stunning. The cinematography, the SETS, the costumes, the makeup!!!! The sound!!!!!!! THE ACTING!!!!

I don’t have much else to say I’m just in love

Safe to say it’s rarely turned off after that :)

The dictation scene is still my favorite, it gets overshadowed by the March of…

I really like it when it’s being itself! It has a lot to say about trauma and how we cope with our past! But good god when it’s trying to be the Shining it’s so frustrating!

The more I think about it the more frustrated I get. I enjoyed this movie a lot but every time they aggressively pointed to the shining and went “hey guys remember this!” It made me wanna rip my hair out!

The film looks beautiful, perhaps the best use of lighting I’ve seen in a horror film in a long time. The acting is incredible as well. But oi…
