The Fly 1986
This might be the scariest movie of all time for me. There’s something about insects I’ve always found unsettling. This movie expertly achieves an amazing level of dread and is a thoroughly unsettling experience. This is absolute peak Cronenberg. This is definitely one of my favorite horror films, though I don’t re visit it quite as often as my other top horror picks because it is a very intense watch. Fantastically done.

Ghostbusters: Afterlife 2021
I loved this movie. It made me so happy. Amazing sequel. Fuck the term “fan service.” This was a worthy follow up, funny, beautifully shot, nicely plotted, well acted, and most of all heartwarming as fuck. Watching this movie felt like watching an 80s movie. The people who made it actually gave a shit. Unfolds in such a nice patient way just like an 80s movie. And the score is amazing and the songs they use are perfect. I honestly think people hating on this movie aren’t fans of the original and only like bullshit ADD marvel shit.
