Miami Connection 1987
Baseline Rules for making pretty much any movie into a drinking game:
1. rip that guy - take a drink when someone dies, show some respect
2. drink when they drink - anytime someone in the movie drinks, everyone drinks
3. bigotry - take a drink to make it go down easier
4. bullshit science - ridiculous explanations for things or physics being defied on screen
5. sips for nips - regardless of gender, take a drink when you see new nipplesTranslated from by

Happy Together 1997
"I had no regrets until I met you."
This puts my unwatched list into the single digits. I actually cannot remember the last time my unwatched pile was so reasonable.
The cigarette sharing scene
Was not as into this until the last 20 minutes or so. Then it all clicked into place and I was in. Until the song Happy Together started playing and I became irate.
Wong's movies give me more of what I want when the characters are more apart than together.

Godzilla vs. Biollante 1989
"I heard he wants to preserve the Nobel Prize winners' semen to use for future reproductions of geniuses."
Godzilla has really become one of the main pillars of my personality. Excited to see how the Heisei era treats the big lizard; it was incredible for Gamera.
The music of this series has never ripped so fucking hard.
Labeling the escalating warning points of Godzilla's return is so cool
Wow there is so much of this in Shin Godzilla. Hell yeah.
The visualization that finally makes it explicitly clear that Godzilla is Jesus

Terror of Mechagodzilla 1975
"You may be a cyborg, but I still love you"
It's been fun, so I'm sad to see the era end. But it needed to.
This starts like the final episode of an early 2000s anime.
This movie is so cheap looking. Anime is trashy.
The helmets are SO GOOD
A fitting end to the era: a movie that doesn't even have 80 minutes of new footage using the same alien plot that half of these movies had. But with a couple of pretty amazing effects sequences.
