Showgirls 1995
Almost every creative decision made during the production of Showgirls was the wrong one but I had so much fun watching this in a screen full of people, all loving every minute of it. Wholeheartedly recommend watching it at a cinema if you ever get the opportunity to do so.

I feel very conflicted by this film. I hated the theatrical cut I saw on release but watched the director’s cut the other night and found myself somewhat enjoying it but coming away with a bitter taste in my mouth by the time the credits began to roll.
I found myself particularly hooked during the first hour. Personally I really like when superhero stories choose to analyse the dichotomy of our love of said characters and the way their extrajudicial…

Looked great but I wasn’t into it much during the first half and almost bottled it at the one hour mark. I’m glad I stuck it out because after that it clicked with me and everything came together nicely. Looking forward to giving this another go at some point because I think this might make for a great rewatch
