The scene with the random screeching monkey was my fave. There's some great visuals and scenes in this that I loved. The worst part is how lifeless and dull the characters are, so the scenes between the cool moments really drag.

This movie proves that you can throw as much sexual assault, flamethrowers and macho nonsense onto the screen as humanly possible, but that doesn't make the movie feel dangerous. The original Mad Max barely shows anything on screen, yet that movie actually feels dangerous, and way more unhinged. Even the flamethrower scenes were a little underwhelming. And the longer this movie went on, the more annoying the sexist characters got.

It's also a Christmas movie with zero Christmas decorations. They do reference Christmas a lot though. Scott Hillman movies make me feel seen in a way no one else does. Socks Whitmore needs to be the lead in more things. They are an actual agender actor (playing a non-binary…
