The Girl from Rio 1969
A James Bond knock off that prioritizes the villainess and her scantily, cape-clad henchwomen over the lame-o trying to stop her. There's a male villain who reads Popeye comics too haha
The story doesn't really matter. This movie is all about beautiful visuals, comic-booky outfits and vibes. It excels at that stuff. Traditional filmmaking, not so much.

Ms .45 1981
This is Abel Ferrara's version of Carrie. It looks like an action-thriller, but it's really a horror movie with guns. As far as the rape-revenge stuff goes, this might be the least exploitation-y stuff that I've seen. Has an M.F.A. feel to it, too. Abel Ferrara's movies make me think in ways most movies don't. They stick with you in off-kilter ways that challenge how you experience them to begin with. I'm still processing what I think about parts of this movie.

Baby Cat 2023
If you only see one lesbian, cat girl, BDSM, fetish, sex comedy than this is the one! Seriously, this is gayer, more progressive and even more bonkers than I could ever have imagined it would be. They look like magazine cutout collages. I can't tell if they're…

The Magical Christmas Tree 2021
I love that a movie where a non-binary person falls in love with an agender forest elf is the most traditional movie that Scott Hillman (Baby Cat, Bikini Hackers) has made! It's also a Christmas movie with zero Christmas decorations. They do reference Christmas a lot though. Scott Hillman movies make me feel seen in a way no one else does. Socks Whitmore needs to be the lead in more things. They are an actual agender actor (playing a non-binary…
