I loved the Florida Project. Director, Sean Baker is a great story teller and visual genius. The story is mostly seen through the unknowing eyes of a 6-year-old girl, Moonee. Moonee is a rebellious child being raised by an essentially rebellious child. There is no backstory on any of the characters and no real ending either. It made me nostalgic for the childhood innocence that is only with us for such a short period of our lives.

I didn’t think it was possible to find a documentary about love, religion, kidnap, rape, media coverage, and cloning. What a wild story. Joyce McKinney, although very eccentric, is innocently endearing. The documentary is told mostly from the perspective of McKinney, a former beauty queen with a high IQ, who falls in love with a Mormon missionary. She is naïve about the religion and when he disappears without a trace she goes to extreme measures to find her one true…

Sometime I feel like I've seen Kate Winslet's boobs more than I've seen my own.

I enjoyed this film very much. The outlandish storyline made me look up the validity of plot points and the movie is surprising accurate. Jim Carrey shines as Steven Russell; in fact, I think this may be the best performance of his career. McGregor who plays Phillip Morris, also does a great job portraying a submissive, gentle natured love struck individual. Both characters are so likeable, the audience finds themselves routing for them to be together (outside of jail, of course). It’s “Brokeback Mountain” meets “Catch Me if You Can” with an undercurrent of "Bad Santa" like humor and I loved every minute of it.
