Works as a music biopic because it’s actually filled with music, orbits Dylan with contrasting supporting characters (Pete Seeger, Joan Baez) who are fascinating in their own right, and doesn’t try to explain Bob Dylan or pretend he wasn’t an arsehole.

Marriage Story 2019
This movie creeps up on you. I was enjoying it well enough but the last 15 minutes really elevated the film and moved me deeply. I can't stop thinking about it and can't wait to see it again.

Midsommar 2019
Not a date movie, in fact Midsommar might be the ultimate in break-up movies. A suspense-horror film that's unusually drenched in sunlight and also drenched in an atmosphere of exponentially increasing dread. It's full of fascinating detail about the midsummer rituals of this unusual extended Swedish 'family' and anchored by a relatable and grief-stricken lead performance by Florence Pugh.
Writer-director Ari Aster somehow makes this light and spacious-looking landscape feel dark and oppressive and claustrophobic. By the end, Midsommar is completely fucked up and disturbing. I loved it.
