Creative, visually enticing slasher horror that often pays tribute to the classic slashers that came before, mostly Friday the 13th. In fact, it’s probably the best Friday the 13th we’ve ever got. “Enemy” by Denis Villeneuve is an incredible piece of work. It maintains it’s ominous, foreboding atmosphere throughout with an intense soundtrack. The tone is further shaped by the colour palette. The use of yellows is abundantly apparent which makes for an eerie, unsettling vibe
The narrative is masterfully crafted. Using specific imagery and iconography to not only add to the underlining unsettling tone but provide key information regarding its themes
