  Jesus. The only thing worse than this movie was the fact that my date got up nine times to use the bathroom, checked his phone, tried to talk to me during the film, and fell asleep. I enjoyed individual things about it, but overall it wasn't any better than Silver Linings Playbook, which I also didn't like.

  Loved it. Gosling was wordless and broken, and Mulligan was complicated and sweet. I loved the violence and the love story. I saw it twice in theaters, which is something I had never done before, or since. I also own it, and I paid full price, which is saying something.

  This was the first movie I ever saw that featured Marion Cotillard, and I've been a fan since. I also loved Canet's character, and the ending of this movie was simultaneously sad, frustrating, and beautiful.
