Another odd one by Cronenberg. Really great though, Vincent Cassel, Diane Kruger, and Guy Pearce were all fantastic.

Much like his previous film ‘Parasite’, Bong-Joon Ho’s new film ‘Mickey 17’ rests upon some very noticeable digs at capitalism, colonialism, and racism.
Struggling businessman Mickey Barnes (Robert Pattinson) signs up to a space colonisation programme as an ‘expendable’, where he is killed, then duplicated via experimental human-cloning technology. However, events soon turn awry when his 17th iteration fails to die, and is left in a nightmare scenario with his aggressive 18th iteration.

I’ve never seen horror done in such an aggressively visceral way.
I struggled with this film when I watched it in cinemas, with the sound design, sound level, and gore in particular pushing me to my limit, to the point where I had to leave.
Watching on a laptop was a much less overwhelming experience, and much more enjoyable (thanks, Internet!).
