  My heart is in pieces. When your time comes, you're going to be haunted by the words you didn't say. Some line deliveries near the start felt stiff and awkward, but it dawned on me that yes that's the point. Being one of the first people ever to have to carry that heavy weight would paralyze anyone. Cory Michael Smith's performance of a man unprepared to say goodbye touches the soul.

  ̶M̶o̶t̶h̶e̶r̶fucker bored me to literal tears. Every joke fell flat. I've never seen anything so unapologetically uninterested in being ANYTHING apart from being Bri'ish, I just don't know what the Academy were thinking.

  Albert Finney and Susannah York weren't half bad in terms of performance, I suppose.

  Man I didn't want this to end. I peeped how much time was left when I was getting really into it and saw there were only 20 minutes left and I felt sad. This was just genuinely beautiful start to end, a comfortable break from the stress of the world.

  And that final nod, be still my heart. So much emotion carried exclusively through subtext.

  Also the rare double "god I wish that were me" on Gregory Peck and Audrey Hepburn oh my sweet mercy.
