Turkey Shoot 1982
An exploitation riff on The Most Dangerous Game wearing dystopian trappings. This film is insane, bloody and bleakly comedic. If you're in the mood for that it will scratch your itch.

Geronimo: An American Legend 1993
When I first saw this I was too young to appreciate it, though I was familiar with Geronimo's life. If You Were Young: Rage 1970
A very sharp and stylish film, Fukasaku uses his bag of tricks throughout, though it is not an action film. Basically this is a melodrama about a group of 5 friends that move to Tokyo full of optimism, but instead fall on hard times. Great sense of nostalgia, great sense of sympathy for disaffected youth. Fukasaku considered it a bit of a spiritual precursor to Battle Royale in that it's about the youth who struggle against the fate forced upon them by a cold establishment.
