  This movie is good!
   There’s a lot that can and likely has been said about RDJ’s masterful performance, the strong chemistry between him and Paltrow, and the nerd-tastic moments of super hero glory done perfectly throughout the film. On the flip side of the obvious: Jeff Bridges’ heel turn is a bit too intense, the Middle Eastern terrorist plot feels a bit underserved, and the MCU Trope Villain is defeated almost senselessly in keeping with The Incredible Hulk.

  Black Girl is the story of Diouana finding her own identity. Her character is neither flawless or totally likable in her quest, but that is perfect given the purpose of the piece. Her efforts to establish independence from Madame (the film’s antagonist) often appear childish and only half hearted, yet it is almost impossible to imagine rooting against her in these moments.
