Bringing Out the Dead is a criminally underrated Scorsese film. This is peak Cage, backed by a great stable of character actors in supporting roles. Scorsese captures New York in the way that only he can and all of his beautiful shots are complimented with a kickass soundtrack.

Anora 2024
This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
Anora explores how the wealthy elite of the world will move heaven and earth to ensure that their position of power remains in place and everybody else is a means to their end. Wolf Man 2025
Wolf Man taps into a father’s greasiest fear: ruining a family vacation by slowly and gruesomely transforming into a snarling wolf beast.

Alien: Romulus 2024
I thoroughly enjoyed about 80% of Alien Romulus. The first chunk of the movie on the mining colony really had me invested in this movie and I found myself regretting my harsh prejudgements. I could have lived in this world a little while longer so much…

The Wild Robot 2024
I am such a sap these days. Every single emotional beat in The Wild Robot hit me like a sack of bricks. There wasn't at trace of irony to be found, just touching theme after touching theme. This movie goes into the importance of accepting those that are different than you, learning to change beyond what you've initially been programmed or taught, showing kindness, forming community, and celebrating diversity, and much more. It's just loaded with a schwack of nice…
