Anora touches on so many different aspects, the interpretations of it feel expanse. An introspective look at the exploitation of the American Dream, the rich taking advantage of the poor and at times cannot help to read Vanya's exploitation of Ani reminiscent of the socio-political conflict of allegedly Russian Oligarchs meddlings within America's election.
The ending is raw, beautiful and ugly. And very reminiscent of Yasujiro Ozu's endings, the build up of emotions and the final release of it all…

Artiswitch 2021
There's something so subtley uncomfortable and uplifting with this show, all the characters have an impact despite how short their presence is. Nina's character is relatable, Ruru's introduction changes the tone for the rest of the show. It's hard to articulate without spoiling how Ruru is so hauntingly relatable character.
