Vintage Jim Carrey and charming gags. Perfectly acceptable use of IP. Ben Schwartz bright and funny as the voice of Sonic. Great for kids and I enjoyed it. Successful movie! (acab includes James Marsden)

Incredible face-strain acting throughout. Full buy in from every actor and crafts department makes this work. Pacing is very 1981. The idea Cronenberg plays with that really came through for me is this: telepathy would be so noisy and invasive to deal with. Just a firehose of other people’s thoughts anytime you’re close to anybody. How could someone go anywhere without going insane?

Saw it on film at the New Beverly. Amazing experience. This one definitely rewards a locked in, focused viewing.
