Bad Times at the El Royale 2018
the most intriguing part of this film is its title. i thought the first hour and a bit was good, i was enjoying it, what it was doing. as soon as chris hemsworth showed up, i thought it became quite unremarkable however. it hit most every beat i expected it to from that point on, and became a pretty unsatisfying watch. that’s not a slight at hemsworth’s performance though, i think he did a fine enough job, i just think the writing faltered.
