This is objectively way too scary for a children’s movie, but I begrudgingly admit that the claymation was beautiful and hyper-detailed (esp for 2009??) Rewatching this as an adult made me realize that probably a lot of adult characters in kids movies get a bad rep, even tho they are just trying their best. Like her mom was just trying to meet a deadline and get paid! Overall, will not be watching again as I’ll probably have nightmares about button eyes for a while. I’ll stick to halloweentown, thank you very much.
