    Beautiful, breathtaking, exquisite pain.

After being captivated for over three hours, it’s jarring to watch the protagonists’ story conclude by declaring America rotten to its core and fleeing to an occupied land.

Maybe I’d feel differently if this were a true story, but here, it’s a choice—like everything else in the film.

When I consider that with the reality of what’s happening in the world right now, the irony is impossible to ignore.

P.S. In honour of The Brutalist’s now-legendary use of AI, I wrote this review with some editing help from ChatGPT.

Putting on a robe whilst hanging from a pull-up bar is a sick flex.

Charming performances and a stylish narrative are the perfect accompaniment to Agnès Varda’s stunning portrait of Paris in the 60’s.

There are some films that you know from the very first frame that you’re watching something special. This is a perfect example.

The lengthy runtime flew by as Cate Blanchett gave such a magnetic performance my eyes couldn’t look away.

I can’t stop thinking about this film.
