Gel Pens and Envelope Pen Case!

Gel Pens and Envelope Pen Case! I love Back to School time! I love pencil cases...and roll up things...and holders and organizers and stuff!  **I was sent this AmazaPens Gel Ink Pens in exchange for my honest opinion** As far as Gel Pens go, these ones are terrific! I love using gel pens on dark colored paper, they pop! This pack of pens has some pastel, some glitter and some neon pens. They write really smooth and don't skip! But the packaging for the pens was definitely not long term. Mine came cracked...so what to do? Make a pen case with fun fabric! I used 2 pieces of fabric that matched...about 12 inches by 18 inches. Lay the 2 pieces right sides together. Sew all around the edges, except for a 4 inch gap on one of the sides. Flip it right side out. Then add a decorative stitch around the entire border to stitch up the gap. Now, fold over where you want it to line up. I used a sharpie to mark where I want the snaps. I used my aw...

Leather Name Cuff

Leather Name Cuff For each cuff you will need: 9" by 1.25" a strip of Light Weight Black Leather Ribbon Slider Letters of name or word...check  the scrapbooking section at a craft store (I had these in my hoard for years) 2 diamond rivets Snaps for closure...we used metal snaps, but even plastic snaps work with light weight leather. This is the plastic snap set I have... Starter Pack KAM Plastic Snap Setting Pliers with 100 Plastic Snap Sets  Okay, let's get started. I used a metal ruler, cutting mat and rotary cutter to cut my leather to size. It's 1.25 inches wide and 9 inches long. Measure your wrist though...that's the best way to make something that fits!   Once the cuff is made and set with snaps...you can decorate!  I had these ribbon sliders of letters in my craft supplies for years. My daughter found them and wondered how to use them. We took a thin strip of pig skin leather, but a ribbon works too!  Then we m...

Felt Quiet Book with Snaps!

Felt Quiet Book with Snaps! Quiet books and sensory games are so fun for kids and great teaching aids!  You will need: Hot glue/gun scissors Felt (various colors) Sewing machine (optional) Snaps and snap setter Cut out felt shapes to make whatever scene you want. I did a landscape with grass, tree and sun. Hot glue the bulk of the shapes onto the background. Once it's glued...it's snap time. You can set as many snaps as you want. I did 5 flowers. (You could change up the scene for various seasons or holidays!) Stab the awl through the fabric where you want the snap set... Pierce the pointy snap part through the awl hole... then set the snap receiver on top. Put them carefully into your snap pliers...and squeeze! Easy as pie! The back is perfect and the top is ready to snap! Cute! Repeat the process until satisfied! Now we need some flowers. I cut five flowers from felt. And used the same technique to set the other sid...
