Philosophy can be defined as the study that uses human


reason to investigate the ultimate causes, reasons and
principles which governs all things.

• Philosophy is a distinct area of knowledge with its
own goals, concerns and ways of doing things.
• Philosophy is concerned with the deepest and
biggest questions in life

Applying Philosophy

Scenario 1.
During one of your travel adventures you come upon an
unfamiliar area and therefore as much as you hate to admit it
you have to accept the truth that you are lost.

HOW DO I KNOW?
Should you consult Google map? Should you look for clues on
road signs and street names?

Answering these questions are important because knowledge is


not Automatic.

You are Doing Philosophy when you are answering these three
questions:

-What should I do?
