About the Yarn

The yarn for this final shipment of the SoleMates Sock Club comes to
us from the Sanguine Gryphon from Maryland. If you’ve never met
Gryphon and Sarah of the Sanguine Gryphon, they are a unique
creative team with a delicious product, that is always a feast for the
eyes. Gryphon and Sarah are inspired by times past, whether it be the
renaissance or the industrial revolution, and their booths at fiber events
take you back in time to a world of luxury and saturated color!

The yarn I’ve chosen from the Sanguine Gryphon is skinny Bugga. A
true fingering weight version of Bugga! It’s got a slightly lower cash-
mere content to make up for strength lost in the thinner yarn, but it’s
still three-ply so the twist is the same, and it’s still fabulously soft.

Stats:
450 yds/4 oz skein
80% superwash merino/10% cashmere/10% nylon
8 sts/” on US #1 (your gauge may vary)

I hope you enjoy using this yarn as much as I did!
