PART1 Interview

Task A Greetings & Introduction

Hi, my name is ____________, and I’m your interviewer. How are you today?

For the record, can you please tell me your complete name and home
address?

Task B Providing Job-Related Information

Life is often unpredictable and sometimes we do not get as much sleep as we


would like. What would you do if you were working and you suddenly feel
extremely drowsy and have trouble concentrating?
PART2 Role Play

Task A Situation 1

You want Thai six three four to climb and maintain flight level three five
zero due to traffic. Give the pilot instructions as you respond to his report.
Task B Situation 2

Study the simplified radar screen. There are four aircraft all bound for
NIRAT. One is unidentified. EVA Air one one six zero will be making a
position report. Advise the pilot about the presence of Korean Air six six
niner two as you respond to his report.
Task C Situation 3

The unidentified aircraft has contacted you and reported his callsign as
Asiana three zero two. For proper identification, you want the pilot to
squawk and ident four six two seven. Give the pilot instructions and
respond to his message as necessary.
PART3 Providing Information and Sharing Opinions

Task A Work-Related Situation

What would you do in a situation where an unidentified aircraft enters the


airspace you are in charge of and is a potential threat to the aircraft in the
area?
Task B Presenting an Idea about a Picture

Look at the picture provided.


Describe what you see. What do you think happened to the aircraft? How do
you think it happened?
Task C Stating an Opinion

Some countries require air traffic controllers to hold a pilot’s license. Do you
think holding a pilot’s license can enable air traffic controllers to see things from
the perspective of a pilot and therefore enable them to be better controllers?
Why or why not?
