Mornings are normally chaos. A whirlwind of activity. Breakfasts bolted down and coffee consumed in gulps just as soon as the cup is cool enough to drink. Helping with last minute spelling practice for tests while packing lunchboxes and having an ever frequent argument about what is appropriate to wear. There is never just time to be.
Sundays are different. Sundays are slow, and sometimes lazy, and sometimes even romantic. There are Sundays where the girls don't even get up until eight in the morning, though that is admittedly rare. Sundays where the dog is lazing in the sun instead of barking for attention. Sometimes Sundays are absolutely divine.
It’s a rare morning for Dave. Dreams haven’t plagued his sleep, the internal clock that seems to run his body has been set to a rare snooze. He’s allowed to slowly crawl out of sleep, body warm and weighted down by the presence of someone else snuggled up against him. Making him smile even before his eyes ever flutter open.

Waking up before your husband isn't necessarily unusual if he's had something to do the night before, and last night he had been sitting at his laptop well past the time you went to bed. Whatever he was up to, you'll find out when he's ready to tell you – but you suspect he was putting in work on his new screenplay idea. For you, this morning was a chance to enjoy a little peace and quiet. A pot of coffee with the early morning sun, a chance to use up some of your leftover veggies by making a quiche to start the day. It will be out of the oven any minute and you'll wake Javi up with a tray of breakfast in bed. There's nothing more indulgent on a weekend than that.
Javi turns over, reaching out for you in his sleep and frowning when he doesn’t feel your warmth. Still not waking up yet, he moves to the middle of the bed and curls around the pillow you had brought from your apartment, claiming it was your favorite.

in true Steph fashion I had the idea for a writing challenge while having a glass of wine too much. The rules are simple;
A Pedro Character of your choosing gets stuck in an elevator with you(r reader or OC) for 47 minutes.

I really really really want to read a Gone Girl AU with Dave York. It's been on my plot idea list for years but it's a fic I really want to read and not to write, ya know? Like Dave falls head over heels for reader but years after they get married, married life starts to get boring and he's having an affair and then one day his wife goes missing and he finds himself being accused of having something to do with her but it's all staged cause she wants to see him really suffer after finding out about the affair so she plans her death and how to make it look like Dave did it cause of course she knows about his past and... god it would be just perfect cause Dave would never see it coming from his wife of all people. And I would love @absurdthirst to write it if I could chose lol 😂 consider this a request 👀
