So this video is 40 seconds long. And it has 190,000 notes. Rounded up to 200K because I’m lazy. So if everyone who enjoyed it interacted with this post once, and they enjoyed all 40 seconds of the video(both of those are questionable, but bear with me), that’s 8,000,000 seconds of entertainment on this site alone. 133,333 minutes. 2,222 hours. Never occurred to me AO3 would be using Boolean…

Prefacing with an infinite wildcard (*) is intense on the database though… although I guess there are a fairly limited number of tags in the grand scheme of things.

Anyway - excellent!!! This will make things much quicker!

PNG Opacity Tutorial! (Click on the images)

This art trick works really well on tumblr because transparent areas default to white until selected (except for dark mode, rip). Unfortunately this trick doesn’t work on Twitter >:/ Something I learned while making this was that .png’s hate hard edges! Putting a soft blur around text and hard lines will help prevent it from showing those little artifact borders and spoiling your surprise!
