You may lose faith in your government and it’s leaders, but never lose faith in the earth and it’s people.
Right now, the whole world is silent about what’s happening in Gaza. No one’s talking. No one’s sharing the news.
The occupation is committing unspeakable massacres, forcing thousands into displacement again.
But no one is saying a word.
Even donation posts aren’t getting reach. No one’s sharing, no one’s helping.
I was forced into displacement from my tent. I have nowhere to go. My elderly grandfather and my mother, who is battling cancer, have no shelter in the cold and rain.
The last donation was five days ago.
Don’t forget Gaza. The genocide is back... worse than before.

Motaz and his wife, Fedaa, are doctors who have spent much of their time volunteering to care for the sick and injuref in Gaza, putting their own lives and well being on the line.
They have 3 young children: Mohammed, Omar, and Nima. Motaz and Feeda have been doing everything in their power to provide what they can for their children, but that is a responsibility that becomes more difficult each day with dwindling supplies and soaring prices as a result of Israel’s continued blockade.
The escalated attacks by the IOF in the last week have left their family with feelings of fear and uncertainty. The least we can do to help them right now is donating and sharing their campaign so they can afford supplies and save for evacuation when the opportunity arises.
Motaz's campaign was previously shared by 90-ghost, however the link no longer works as 90-ghost has been deactivated by tumblr staff. If anyone is good at finding things on internet archive and could find and link 90-ghost's reblog and share it, that would be much appreciated
Edit: link is working again

I don’t know why that affected me so strongly, but I’m watching a youtube video on disasters on Lake Huron, and the first one involves a coal freighter that was lost in the White Hurricane of 1913 called the SS Argus. Everyone on the ship was lost. But it’s mentioned that the captain’s body washed up later, and was found without a life jacket. So they thought, based partly on testimony of another ship that thought they saw them go down, that it just happened too fast for him to have time to get his jacket. But then another body was found, that of the second cook, and she was found wearing the life jacket marked ‘captain’. And that’s …
It didn’t work. It didn’t save her. But it’s so very possible that he spent his last moments alive trying to save someone else, one of his crew, and they probably both knew that it wouldn’t work, that there wasn’t a lot of hope in a blizzard on the lakes in November, but he tried … he tried anyway. Even if it did nothing but maybe make her body easier for her family to find.
You know that Mr Rogers thing of ‘look for the helpers’? How many times has someone, facing the end, done something tiny and fragile and maybe hopeless just to try and help someone else? Whether it works or not. How many people went to their graves at least trying?
That has to say something about us. As a people. As monstrous as we sometimes (perhaps often) are, so many times we were also …
Whoever saves one life, saves the whole world.
And sometimes you can’t save one life, sometimes it doesn’t work, sometimes there’s no getting out of this for anyone, but … try anyway. Because it matters anyway.
And maybe no one will ever know. But maybe also some day more than a century down the line, maybe some idiot will be crying into her coffee because of what you died trying.

For today's Gazan fundraiser that needs attention, I'd like everyone who sees this post to please give this a reblog and/or donate to the fundraiser below, which belongs to @musabahmad2 . Theyre only 3% raised of their goal, and things have been rather slow going for them.
They have been vetted by Gazavetters and are listed as #520 on the list, so you have no worries that they are genuine, and they are.

Cory Booker has been talking in the senate for over 20 hours now
He’s not filibustering. He’s protesting the current administration.
For those of you from outside the US or those of you who didn’t pay attention in government class, in the US senate there’s really no limit to the amount of time a senator can speak. So sometimes if they don’t want a bill to pass they just. Don’t stop talking. To hopefully get past the deadline to vote on a bill. This is called filibustering.
Senator Cory Booker isn’t doing that. He’s disrupting “the normal business of the United States Senate for as long as I am physically able”. Just in protest. This doesn’t usually happen.
He’s less than 20 minutes away from breaking the record of the longest speech given on the senate floor
Cory Booker has officially broken Strom Thurmond’s record for longest speech on the senate floor and he’s still going
Republicans: we can just have Elon Musk go to Wisconsin and give everyone money. He'll give them a million dollars. It's all legal as long as we hold power forever and can stop anyone from doing anything to stop us. All of Wisconsin is bribed, nothing can go wrong now
