Really kinda curious where they're going with all of this Ahsoka/Barriss visual/thematic mirroring that's suddenly all over the place. also curious to know just how many yuri scholars there are in the LF animation crew because like it's definitely a non-zero number
Im losing my mind they are direct parallels of each other. They were literally written to be that way in the Geonosis arc and now seeing how far its gotten regardless of intent (I believe much intent personally though call me delulu idc). Their journeys are so similar yet of course they are very different people, its giving yin and yang, its giving sun and moon, two sides of the same coin, fate, call it what you will but they are clearly soulmates

Barriss switched the water off and ducked down to the corner where her first aid kit was. She rifled through the kit until she found what she was looking for. Trauma shears. This was definitely not what they were intended for but they would have to work. She went back to the sink, looked in the mirror, then decided she couldnโt stand looking in the mirror, so she turned around, then started sniping. She cut just above the nape of her neck, watching black clumps fall to the floor. She would probably regret this later but she needed to go to sleep without being a walking biohazard.ย Barriss averted her gaze from the mirror when she went back to the sink to re-rinse her hair. It was probably a shitty job but it would be hidden under her scarf anyway. Eventually Master Unduli would see it but that was a future Barriss problem.ย She washed any stray hairs left on her neck and shoulders off in the sink, then grabbed a rag and scrubbed away at the blood left on her skin. When she was finished there was still some blood left under her fingernails and her dirty clothes and cut hair to deal with, but she would do that after she slept. Her short hair was strange, she kept trying to run her fingers through her hair or expected the feeling of it brushing against her back, but it was gone. Seven inches of hair gone in half an hour. That had to have been what, nine years of hair growth? Whatever.

Oh my goodness Vee!!!! Your WIP is incredible ๐ I never considered the idea that Barriss had cut her hair during the war rather than the idea of her having always had short hair, I love it! I appreciate writers like you that go the extra mile to tell the untold stories and to delve into Barrissโs trauma in which canon will forever refuse to do.

She was not hearing Lynโs cries of regret or even Master Luminaraโs calls from the other side assuring her that everything was going to be alright. Rather all Barriss could think about was Ahsoka and all Barriss could feel was sadness. Sadness that the love of her life was not the one catching her, that she had let Ahsoka go in anger, and that it was too late. Too late for Barriss to tell Ahsoka she was sorry and that all she wanted more than anything was to love her forever and always. But soon her body will become lifeless, lost in a cave on an insignificant planet far from wherever her warrior was now.โ

Hello Tumblr, itโs been a while but all these deluded assumptions about who would replace Kathleen Kennedy if she truly is stepping down as President of Lucasfilm allegedly by the end of the year have me heated once more. Why are people so insistent that Darth Felonious (Dave Feloni) and Jon Favarau would be the natural potential leaders? Kathleenโs role is more financial more than anything else; she produces projects allowing them to happen she is not part of the creative process one bit; so why would creators take that role? Second I canโt help but notice the more successful recent Star Wars projects (Obi-Wan Kenobi, Andor, etc.) have nothing to do with these individuals; if anything those two lovebirds are always producing the more controversial/beaten to Death Star Wars projects (I.e. 3rd Season of Mandi, Ahsoka, Bad Batch, etc.). Thus my second question is why to people suck these guys balls so hard. Itโs exhausting and no I will not be entertaining the love fest those two seem to generate within the fan base.
Okay so I have decided to make a new commissions post in order to get more reach

This behind the scenes of Milly Alcockโs Supergirl movie has me so excited and I want to explain why
If this is the symbol that is going to be on her suit, it looks like it will be a darker color pallete which is the perfect symbolism for her.
I always thought of Kara as so much darker than Clark. She actually remembers Kryptonโs destruction and struggles with the grief. Clark only ever knew Earth and was lucky to have great adoptive parents to slowly acclimate to powers that developed over time and didnt shock him.
Kara lost her parents, her whole world, and suddenly has to adjust to superpowers that she never had to deal with before. So not only is she grieving, she is having to contain newfound superpowers amidst strong emotions.
Clarkโs symbol has a yellow outline, bright red S, and the yellow on the inside again. Whereas hers has a black outline, the bright red (different shade i think), and a navy blue inside.
Excuse the blurry closeup of the Supergirl one. But to my overanalyzing self this does give the impression they will be going with a more angsty take on Supergirl which I love because it just makes sense.
Thatโs why I always hated angsty takes on Clark. He is meant to be sunshine and why do that to him when the poor girl who actually remembers losing her entire fucking planet and everyone she ever loved and knew and is know completely displaced in an unfamiliar society while having to learn to self control with brand new superpowers and not kill everyone around her is right there.
Itโs just such a juicy opportunity I hope DC wont waste and I hope this symbol is what I overanalyze it to mean
