6. What’s the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

My fics usually have happy endings, but the ones that were angstiest on the way there are Into the Shining Sun and possibly of monsters and milkshakes.

7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

Little Help, because it ends with a wedding!

8. Do you get hate on fics?

I haven’t, and I’m incredibly thankful for that.

9. Do you write smut?

Nope. All my works are fluffy.

10. Do you write crossovers?

I never have, but if I ever came up with a good idea I’d be willing to give it a try. (What would Mort Metzger think of Hopper…? 🤔)

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?

Sort of… I came across a fic that had borrowed a few passages almost word-for-word from Next Time I Fall. Luckily everything was easily taken care of when I contacted the author.

12. Have you ever had a fic translated?

No, but if anyone wanted to, all they’d have to do is ask.

13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?

Not yet. Just wait! Someday @pearlypairings and I are gonna surprise you!!!

14. What’s your all time favorite ship?

Gotta be the one that’s stayed with me since I first started shipping— Mulder and Scully.

15. What’s the WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?

Right now I’m having my doubts about my coffee shop WIP. It’s teetering dangerously on the border between “hiatus” and “abandoned”.

16. What are your writing strengths?

I’m good at characters, I think— their emotions, vulnerabilities, and motivations. Giving them satisfying arcs and meaningful friendships. My plots might be light on action or intrigue or anything like that but I’m always gonna give you some sweet relationship fluff!

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

Literally everything else lmao. Plots, knowing where to start, knowing where/how to end, and especially remembering the “two cakes” and convincing myself that whatever silly story I want to tell is worth telling.

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in a fic?

I’ve done a bit of it, adding little bits of Welsh here and there with the help of @krakoansam, and I would say it’s wise to get help!!! Someone who actually speaks the language you want is a million times more useful, accurate, and helpful than just plugging it into google translate.

19. First fandom you wrote for?

I don’t want to talk about the dark days of *nsync fanfic lmaooo

20. Favorite fic you’ve ever written?

I always say Next Time I Fall for this one, and it’s still true, but I gotta give honorable mentions to both Since I Found You and Tattoos and Trash Talk because they’re both so much fun!

ending? well, i guess snakebites, since mike does get a gunshot wound in the final chapter. however the ending is anything but angsty lol

there’s something wrong with michael, imo, the final chapter is just feel-good party shenanigans

i got a hate comment from a guest (angel) who’s notorious for leaving negative comments on byler fics soooo it just made me laugh

1. How many works do you have on AO3?

This answer is oddly complicated as some are hidden and one orphaned but in sum, 54.

2. What's your total AO3 word count?

230,626

3. What are your top 5 fics by kudos?

4. What fandoms do you write for?

Stranger Things and Arcane, currently. Potentially got something for IT (2017). I wrote RPF and K-pop, historically.

5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?

I’ve been neglectful as of late, but yes! I love that people have chosen to interact with me when they absolutely didn’t have to. Makes my day, so I try to return the favor.

6. What's the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

None, technically? I always aim to have happy endings, although, the closest one is “take me home tonight” which is open-ended right when the “crazy together” scene begins, and that’s got some angst.

7. What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

Besides all of them lmao, I gotta say that my favorite has to be “a day to remember” because it ends with a wedding.

8. Do you get hate on fics?

No. The closest I got was someone leaving a comment with criticism, but it wasn’t done in a hateful way. Just kinda caught me off guard.

… Sometimes.

Not anymore, but I did in middle school.

No, although my Byler proposal fic I once saw on Goodreads and I was flabbergasted. It’s not up anymore so it must’ve gotten taken down. I think. I hope.

Byler my beloved. I’ve never been so obsessed. Ringing that same bell as you all before, they’re just so wonderful and make me feel fonder over my best friend.

I feel most bad about my ongoing fic “Married to the Crime” that I really want to complete because people were asking about updates. I’ve still got all the drafts, so we’ll see.

16. What are your writing strengths?

I like to think that I’m pretty good at lots of aspects of fluff. Making a scene, laying the characters down to do absolutely nothing but think about each other. I also have a thing for dialogue and making it in-character as I have a pretty vivid auditory mind to test what “sounds” right for characters to say. I’m also kinda a grammar police so I feel like my technical presentation and self-betaing are pretty good, lol.

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

Angst, in a literal sense. If I don’t cry while writing angst, I feel like it never hits, so it’s a true emotional weak point I inflict on myself, lol. But generally, yeah, angst just feels difficult to piece together, and I want it resolved immediately, which isn’t always the cure. Also, things like descriptive pain gets me in a bind because I get too medical. I’m also horrible when it comes to excessive fluff, like, I would write pet names way more than necessary if I had the choice. I also feel like I can get pretty boring with descriptive language if I’m not inspired.

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in a fic?

I think it’s really sweet. Codeswitching is very common where I’m from, so it’s very comforting to see it represented in fanfics.

19. First fandom you wrote for?

This is embarrassing but Good Mythical Morning. Mythical beast for life tho. I love my dads.

20. Favorite fic you've ever written?

“I’ll Be Waiting, Time After Time” I affectionately call my baby of my fanfics. I dreamed it up one random summer night, took notes on all my excited thoughts, followed each one without a hitch, and it’s everything I love about Stranger Things’ relationships in one fic.
