And the difference in brain development between the ages of 14 and 18 are actually crazy huge! More so 14 and 27 - as d3r4ng3d-d0ll said, at that age kids literally don't have a developed enough frontal cortex to NOT make some bad decision and act impulsively and its the job of EVERY SINGLE ADULT that interacts with them to behave properly and lead with good example and talk to them to guide them to make better decisions.

Every single adult that interacts with any child needs to be the bigger person, you won't always like it but suck it up, either treat kids with respect and guidance or don't interact with them at all

You can ALWAYS tell when someone doesn't have younger siblings or cousins they interact with regularly and its because they want kids and teens to act like adults but treat them like toddlers too stupid to understand anything

Kids are kids, they make mistakes. Teach them instead of attacking them, kids are intelligent enough to learn and grow.

Some people need to learn the differences between harassment and commentary.

Screen shotting something is not interacting 💚 I literally take screen shots and take them to my community and have a talk/commentary about the thing at hand.

This is also not about Caleb during the 8iid situation. This is about Caleb crosstaging multiple posts and getting ratio'd to oblivion by doing so, and y'all suddenly being like, "Erm...screen shotting is NAWT interaction! It's collecting and archiving truth and proof about that community!!"

You’re right, screenshotting isn’t a direct message, but it is an interaction when it’s used to mock, fuel commentary from moots, and paint others in a bad light under the guise of discussion. A quick rundown of the day's events, so far: a Ban and a Rebrand

On Sunday the 9th of February, at approximately 12:30AM Nova Scotia local time, Lily Orchard's tumblr (lily-orchard-stuff) was terminated by staff, as confirmed by Lily's wife Mikaila. According to posts by Lily on other channels, no explanation for this termination has been given so far. All that remains of her tumblr are reblogs from her adoring fans, and screencaps from her... not so adoring fans. It is likely Lily will create a new tumblr in the near future, but by her own admission she is waiting until she receives an explanation for the deletion of her original (technically her third) tumblr first. In the meantime, Lily has taken this opportunity to rebrand as CD-Call across all of her socials:

This rebrand has gone into effect on Youtube, Patreon, Bluesky and Twitch, and her URLs on those services have been changed accordingly. Regardless of CD's stated or implied reasons for the rebrand, it's pretty clear that "Lily Orchard" is a name with all sorts of negative connotations that I'm sure CD would love to get away from.

Will this rebrand stick? I guess we'll know in a few weeks; stay tuned to see if this blog's name suddenly becomes "The CD Case"!

Minecraft

Okay just got out of the movie and I have to say that it actually was pretty good, not a top 10 but definitely my favorite game adaptation movie!

The movie didn't take itself too seriously but also kept the silliness decently grounded, there really was only one "flint and steel", "chicken jockey", and "I yearn for the mines" refrence - most of the jokes played on the character interactions and chemistry and very little were "wow this is so strange! Everything is cube!" Like maybe one of two when they first get into the minecraft world

The way the characters are MacGuffined into the world was actually very good? I don't want to spoil because I genuinely recommend everyone go watch it, but the reason why they're there and how they got there were answered very fast and it was not just a Jumaji, most of the movie was actually spent trying to fight the big bad (who was a terrific antagonist too) and get home - it was at its core a road trip movie, going from point A to point B to get the "Object" to get to point C and for a game like Minecraft where there is no clear objective or end it works impressively well!

All the bits were well written, every single joke landed well, legitimately not a joke I or my boyfriend didn't laugh at. The action was well paced and well choreographed and was perfectly placed throughout the movie. This is definitely a fast paced movie, I honestly wish it was a little longer so we could get a few more character interaction and see more parts of the world. I can't comment on the visuals/ CGI, I forgot my glasses at home but from my blur of colors, it looked pretty good! The blockiness of the world and animals vs the real people wasn't at all weird or grating to look at once I actually got into it, definitely have an open mind going in because there are some oddities, but I like to imagine this is an alternate Minecraft universe so things can be a little different

My only issues with the movie are the 'Swift Golem' and a few bits of the other 'non-cannon minecraft' stuff/game progression with the end stuff like the lytra and ender peral me off, it's explained in movie but it still bothered me as a decade long player

Idk why it's has such a low score on IMBD and Rotton Tomatoes because it genuinely was just a fun movie, even if you dont love minecraft in particular it's super fun, my bf has played like 2 hours of the game, didn't really want to go see it bc he thought it was going to be bad, and only went to the movies because he didn't want me to go alone - he had a BLAST! He was giggling and said it was "pretty good" at the end!
