hey. listen. when you use too much detergent in your laundry you aren't making your clothes cleaner, you are making them degrade faster. the machine isn't able to rinse out the entire cup of soap you put in, so some of it is left in the fibers of your clothes. when they dry this makes the fabric stiffer and more brittle, so the fibers are more likely to erode and break. over time this makes your clothes wear out much faster than if they were properly rinsed with minimal soap. you are wasting money by overusing detergent, not just on the detergent itself but the clothes you are shortening the lifespan of.

you are also ruining your clothes by cramming too many into the wash at once. the machine washes them by agitating them and rubbing them together but if they're crammed in there there's more friction. so they're less likely to get clean and they're wearing each other out. don't use tiny loads of laundry bc that's a waste of water but focus on medium sized loads with only a tablespoon or two max of laundry detergent.

you can also hang up your cotton shirts to dry to prevent them from shrinking in the dryer, and to maximize the lifespan of printed graphics on your shirts or sweatshirts. this saves electricity and keeps your clothes nicer for longer.

fabric softener is a scam, you don't need it because most detergents come with a softening agent already. dryer sheets are handy to minimize static in the dryer, but you can get a reusable wool ball that does the same purpose so they're not necessary either.

use bleach detergents sparingly, only if you notice your whites becoming stained or dingy. using bleach on every load of whites will degrade them.

also most of the time you really only need to wash with cool water. unless something is really soiled, (especially with something greasy, remember heat melts and removes grease,) cold water works just fine for day to day dirty clothes.

that's all

SHIV: is this serious? kendall's leading the inquisition now?

FRANK: mm. the 'herald of andraste,' apparently.

TOM: no, he can't call himself that. can he?

SHIV: he shouldn't. it's insane. he's having some kind of—public mental breakdown, and nobody's stopping him. we can't give him our support.

ROMAN: i mean, it's not up to you, shiv. if we don't back him when the templars do, it kind of makes us look like we're too busy jerking off in a palace to do anything about a world-ending crisis.

SHIV: it makes us look like we're still sane. we need to get a handle on him before this escalates into an international incident. he's not stable. he's petitioning heads of state to supply troops using the old grey warden treaties.

TOM: he's a warden-commander now, too?

SHIV: he could decide he is in the next week. he could ruin us, politically, probably financially, and there's no telling how the orlesians might react—

[Enter LOGAN.]

LOGAN: fucking rifts! demons getting spat out in the middle of the street! you try to reason with mages and they tear open the sky. after what happened in kirkwall i don't know why every knight-commander didn't invoke the right of annulment. what's this about kendall?

idk thinking about how sometimes you have to show up for people you aren't that close to, because sometimes you're just the person who's there. sometimes you invite a new friend to a party and end up having to sit with them through a panic attack. sometimes you run into an acquaintance on their worst day and they need to talk about what happened. sometimes someone is crying in a stairwell and you're the only one around to ask if they're okay. and none of this is "trauma dumping" or whatever the fuck it's just being there for people because you're the one in the room with them.

My then-coworker was pregnant with her second child. One day she mentioned being terrified she'd go into labor at three in the morning and no one would be available to take care of her toddler while she went to the hospital.

"I know it's stupid," she said, "but I can't stop thinking about it."

"Call me if that happens, " I said, because we lived 15 minutes away from each other. "I'll run over and watch her until her grandparents get there."

And I didn't think too much of it at the time, but after my coworker came back from maternity leave she told me that this conversation, where some girl from work promised to give up a couple hours of sleep if her family had an emergency, was the reason she was able to sleep at night for the rest of the pregnancy.

What's interesting about this is that you didn't actually get called, and you didn't have to run anywhere at 3AM. You just had to be willing to if it happened.

So often, it's not even that you have to do anything; you just have to make it clear that if you would if it became necessary.

"I did it for you" has gotta be my favorite form of betrayal. You gave me a gift I never asked for, and now I have to look around at the world you destroyed with the knowledge that it was gift wrapped and addressed to me.

absolutely criminal how falling into bad habits is the easiest thing in the world while developing positive habits feels like fighting a literal war

"depiction is not automatically glorification" can and should coexist with "some depiction is glorification and you need to be able to tell the difference"

Please add to that list "apparent glorification in the first 15% of the thing does not constitute real glorification if the remaining 85% is dedicated to suffering the consequences, deconstructing the damage and changing ways" because some people around here don't understand how the three act structure works.

Y'know yeah i will absolutely add this especially since people keep saying fight club is an example of glorification. Genuinely thanks for having one of the few good additions to this post

You need to have the 28 other mods and all their dependencies for this mod to work, plus all the mods that they depend on. You also need to go into your x69 files and delete the .gloop file (NOT the .gleeb file!!!) and you need to run CuntExpander to generate a working skeleton for the animations and when that's done you have to reconfigure PNIS (which you should honestly be using NippleSense by now) and then deploy mods, uninstall then reinstall everything, then run PNIS again IN A SEPARATE FILE and deploy. Then it should work 👍

Not that it's anything new, but the "voluntary" in "voluntary migration" really drives home the utter shamelessness of the occupation.

They destroy Gazan homes, hospitals, schools, roads, universities, infrastructure, cut off their water and electricity, then when they have no choice but to escape the hell that was created for them, claim they "voluntarily" chose to leave their land behind and have no right to return.

When Nakba deniers claim that Palestinians "chose" to leave their land, remember this.

Amal's baby daughter, Mariam, has known no childhood outside of surviving this genocide. She will soon be of age to attend school. Last we spoke, she had a very close call during the most recent bombardment. If she wants to give her daughter a chance at normalcy, security, education, and a decent childhood, but those options have been taken away from Gaza, is this voluntary migration?

Mahmoud wants to continue his education. He has been able to scrape by through remote learning online, but every day it becomes harder to even find reliable internet access. Last we spoke, he was trying to pay his fees in time, so that he would be allowed to enroll in this semester. If he wants to pursue his degree, but the conditions in Gaza have made that impossible, is this voluntary migration?

Dr. Anas is a cancer patient. His physical and mental health have been obliterated by this genocide. Last we spoke, he told me that after making some recovery during the ceasefire, he's now back to square one. If he wants to live, to continue his job as a doctor, and to recover from depression, which is impossible to do during bombardment, is this voluntary migration?

Samir is severely injured, and in immediate danger of losing his leg. Last we spoke, his sister told me that the bombardment in their area are more intense than they've ever been. If Samir wants to undergo surgery to save his leg, but there are no such options in Gaza, is this voluntary migration?

Please don't abandon them like our administrations have. They shouldn't have to rely on our generosity, but they must.

Donate: Amal, Mahmoud, Anas, Samir

Yes, this. A stunning number of people will default to "because it's illegal." Teaching an intro-level bioethics course will demonstrate real fucking fast that a lot of the population just lets legality stand in for morality.

not to sound like a christian facebook mom but some of yall need to have grace in your hearts for the people in your lives or the people you pass once on the road and never see again like you literally need to stop assuming the worst of everyone and their intentions it is poisoning your brain. you can be careful and responsible without being a miserable person. it is possible i promise

And because i know people won’t even bother to click and check the article itself i’m gonna screencap it, it’s fairly short, give it a read:

tl;dr: the article’s point isn’t “corporate satire is not funny anymore as in “we should stop making fun of corporations””, the article’s point is “corporate satire is not funny as in “it’s extremely depressing to live in a capitalistic hellhole and corporate satire aims more to poke fun at that without actually making you think about our world or giving you hope for a better future, and therefore it’s just lost its bite””

Thanks for the screencap, I did try to read the article but the ads on that site were insane.
