"If I've told you once, I've told you a million times. Stop goofing off or someone's going to get hurt."
[And then Caleb and Dillon "bonked" heads]
I think the purple will be gone before yearbook pictures at school...
spontaneous Labor Day fun (at 9:00 AM) before it got too hot.
I took Justin to the park this morning to use up energy (his, not mine). When we got home, we were greeted by this 3 1/2" moth.
Other random happenings:
Todd's truck needed $700 worth of work this month...in addition to "back to school" expenses, Todd's therapy license renewal, and a vehicle registration. We found ourselves with far too much month at the end of our money, and have been living on food storage for three weeks. Tomorrow is payday, and I can't wait to have fresh fruit and veggies in the fridge! (but I am grateful for the storage we had--hopefully we can replace it sooner than later). There is nothing more humbling than those times when you re-remember where all your blessings come from, and how much you've been taking for granted.
I've wasted too much time this week playing with my Ipod. I discovered Words with Friends, and Fruit Ninja, and Angry Birds. It's really all the pigs' fault. If they weren't so darn smug I could just let it go, but that obnoxious toothless grin gets me every time...
Our Tai Pan closed, and I was SO sad. And then three weeks later it re-opened in a different location. Huh? Whatever. I'm just glad it's still around. I love to just wander around and look at the displays. Their old building is now going to be a HUGE Cal Ranch store. Todd is thrilled.
I'm getting close to having my quilt studio finished (It has only taken six months...). I am looking forward to quilting/crafting again and I've been busy trying to figure out how to run a business with a two-year old who is into EVERYTHING. I wish Fisher Price made a toy longarm machine so he could "quilt" alongside me...
Our elementary school got a grant to do a musical, and Caleb is planning to audition. He is a good little singer, and I'm glad he has this opportunity. Our primary chorister also directs a children's musical every year at [a well-known local amphitheatre] and he's thinking of doing that in the spring. Dillon is on a waiting list to start piano lessons (from his 2nd grade teacher) and has signed up for a "Creative Kids Club" in school. Brayden is doing fabulously at adjusting to the demands of 6th grade, and is looking forward to some extra-curricular lego classes, a CSI class, and beginning violin. Justin is very "two" and has more energy than a bolt of lightning. He loves water, whether it be the splash pad at the park, the sprinklers, the tub, the water in the fridge door, or in the toilet. He's also becoming quite the little "fruit ninja".
