She's a big girl now!

Little Callie is getting so independent. I can't believe she'll be 2 in May! She's at the stage where she has to do everything all by herself. And she gets so excited when she figures something out! She put on her own dress for Sunday and came in screaming "I did it!". She was not happy when I had to take it off to put it on the right way...

Rob and I decided to take advantage of her "independence", so we(and by "we", I mean "I") have been potty training Callie for 11 days now. She is doing so good! She still has some work to do on peeing, but she is getting there. I just have to remind her to go like every 30 minutes. And she has pooping down to a science - no accidents yet - knock on wood! I usually put her in underwear all morning, then in a diaper for her nap, and then back in underwear for the evening until bath-time. My goal is to be done before the baby gets here!

As you can see, she still needs to figure out how to get the underwear back on the right way. She is getting so big! Kinda makes me sad...

Happy Birthday Kena Sue!!

Happy Birthday Kenadee! You are so excited to be 4! You had your birthday party yesterday even though your real birthday isn't until tomorrow (7th). You had your first real "friend" birthday party this year. You were so excited about it from the moment you passed out your invitations to all your friends. You asked me every day...sometimes SEVERAL times a day..."How many more sleeps until my party?" And then the day of the party you were asking "How many more hours until my party?" You invited 6 little girls and one little boy over. You got so many fun presents. At your party, we made bracelets, played Pin the Lips on the Valentine, had a treasure hunt, and decorated cup cakes. (Thanks, Leann and Summer for your help! It would have been a disaster otherwise!)

Kenadee, you are such a spunky little spitfire and I love having you as a daughter! You know just how to push my buttons and get me so upset, but then 10 minutes later, you can be the sweetest little thing! You have the best little manners...never forgetting to say "please and thank you". But you also like to have people say those "magic words" to you. You are always reminding me to say "please" whenever I tell you to go do something.
You are an awesome little sister for Jaxon. Almost like the brother he doesn't have (yet). You will fight him with light-sabers and guns, wrestle with him and his friends on the trampoline, and play x-box with him. A lot of times, it is you that makes him cry from being too rough. You are one tough little girl! And you are also the best big sister to Callie. You play babies with her, read her stories, and dress her up in all of your jewelry. She is always asking where "Tonadee" is. And if I won't do something for her, she knows to go and find her big sister to get whatever it is that she wants.

You LOVE having your fingers and toes painted, hanging out with your dad, playing with your friends, hugs and kisses, tea party's with papa, singing, dancing, playing with grammy, dresses (as long as they don't "itch"),making forts, talking to grandma and grandpa Esplin over skype, joy school, and lip gloss. You are a beautiful little girl, and I am so happy you are in our family!!
