My husband is the BEST!!

So the other day, Callie fell off of the back of the couch. I guess that I could have been watching her better, but who can be the perfect mom all the time?

Anyways, I called the doctor's office after she fell off of the couch (because she hit her head pretty hard) and the doctor told us to keep an eye on her for a while. We were told that she probably had a concussion, and that there wasn't much to worry about unless she kept throwing up and stuff.

So we put her on our bed to sleep for a bit, when she woke up crying. Rob went in there to discover a huge heaping pile of puke in the middle of our freshly washed bedding.

Rob is such a saint! He went into the bedroom and cleaned up the entire mess. My Hero!
I sometimes take his great heart, loving spirit and devastatingly good looks for granted.

He is the best!! To prove that he actually did it, here is an actual picture of the bag full of the heaping pile of steaming puke. Scroll down if you dare!
I love my darling husband to death. I could never get by without him. He is my saving grace. And in this post, I prove that he is also a super hero.

Crazy Weekend

This past weekend, Rob and Jaxon hitched a ride down to Vegas with Derrick and his boys, to the "Dew Tour". They had an amazing time watching all the stunts and dangerous tricks those crazy people on skateboards and BMX bikes do. (And of course, now Jaxon wants to be a BMX rider for Halloween. When I asked him what kind of a costume he would wear for that, he told me that you just need to get some clothes that are kind of dirty, and ride a bike. Easy enough!)
They got TONS of free stuff: sunglasses, t-shirts, socks, bandanna's, a flip-trix bike, bags, tattoos, plus all the free Mountain Dew they could drink!

Jaxon on the mechanical bull

While those two were having a grand-old-time in Vegas, I was here at home wrestling the other 3 kids. I actually had Callie and Blake in bed at 7:00, and then I put Kenadee to bed watching a movie. At a little after 10:00, I was in my room talking to a friend on the phone when Kenadee walked in and said, "watch this!" and she proceeded to try and jump-rope a dishrag. The rag wasn't quite long enough and she tripped over it, hitting the tile chin first - no hands stopping her or anything. Poor thing...her chin didn't have a chance, it split right open.
A huge thanks to Ralph and Leann for coming over to check out her wound for me. I really don't do well with blood when it comes to my own kids. Once I saw a little trickle dripping down her neck, I put her jump-rag over it and couldn't look again. Ralph was also able to give Kenadee a neat "grandpa's" blessing to calm her down.

Unfortunately, since it was after 10:00, all the insta-cares were closed, so we had to go to ER. But I guess it turned out to be okay because since they are SO SLOW, and it was 12:30 before they were finally ready to stitch her up, Rob was able to make it back from Vegas and hold her hand through it all.

(That is the jump-rag she has in her hand. Mom, it's one of the ones that you had cross-stitched on, that you gave me before you left. It is now rather stained...)

So 8 stitches and a large bill later, this is the after picture.
